Tap once at the start and once each time the leader crosses the line. Starter's One to Go counts the laps, watches the clock, and turns your screen white one lap before you need the flag — so it's already in your hand.

Set the race
Enter a lap count, a length in minutes, or both — the race ends on whichever comes first. Add the track length if you want a speed for every lap.

Tap green at the start
The big green button starts the clock the moment the field takes the green flag.

Tap when the leader crosses
Every time the leader crosses the line, tap again. The app logs the lap, updates the count, and decides the next flag.
The screen runs one lap ahead
It always shows the flag you'll wave at the next crossing, with a buzz each time it changes. Here's the end of a 19-lap race:

Built for the flag stand
- Lap races and timed races
- Run to a lap count, a clock, or both. Count the clock up or down.
- Smart white flag on the clock
- In timed races, the white flag comes when the time left is less than one more lap, based on the leader's last three laps.
- Undo and lap correction
- Tapped by mistake? Undo takes it back, as many times as you need. The − and + buttons fix the laps remaining.

- Every lap is timed to a tenth. Enter a track length for an approximate speed in mph or kph.

- If the app closes mid-race, reopen it and choose Resume — the clock and the count pick up where they were.

Why it exists
One less thing to count
On the stand you're watching the field, listening to the radio, and keeping the next flag ready. Counting the leader's laps in your head is one job too many. Starter's One to Go takes it off your hands and tells you what's next, a lap before you need it.
Your races stay on your phone. No account, no ads, no tracking, and nothing is sent anywhere — the app works without an internet connection.

Questions from the stand
I tapped the button when the leader didn't cross. How do I fix it?
Tap Undo in the bottom-left corner. It removes the last crossing, and you can tap it again to go back further. If the race had already ended, Undo reopens it.
The lap count is off — the race was shortened or extended.
Use the − and + buttons at the bottom of the race screen to change the laps remaining. The next flag is worked out from the new count.
How does it decide the white flag in a timed race?
At each crossing it averages the leader's last three laps. When the time left is less than that average, the lap now starting is the last one, and it's time for white. The screen turns white a lap earlier so you're ready.
What if I set both laps and minutes?
The race ends on whichever limit is reached first.
My phone locked or the app closed during a race.
Open the app again and choose Resume when it asks about the race in progress. The race clock keeps running while the app is closed, so the time will be right.
Where are my past races?
Tap the history button on the setup screen. A race is saved when you tap Finish — or when you end it after the white flag has been shown.
Does this replace timing and scoring?
No. Starter's One to Go is an aid for the starter. It doesn't provide live timing and doesn't replace the official timing from the scoring computer — always follow race control.
